Creating and Managing Projects

Projects are the top-level container for your devices, templates, and deployments. Most settings and permissions are scoped to a project.

Create a project:

  1. Go to Projects > New Project.
  2. Enter a name.
  3. Assign an owning Group (optional) and click Create.

After creation you can:

  • Invite devices using an Agent install command (see Agent Install Commands).
  • Manage Device Registration Tokens for secure onboarding.
  • Define project-level Settings (registries, themes, variables, etc.).
  • Assign Users/Groups and Roles for access control.

Tips

  • Keep environments separate (e.g., Production vs. Staging) using distinct projects.
  • Use project variables to parameterize templates and compose stacks across environments.
